TODAY’s celebration of Quiapo church’s (and district’s) Feast of the Black Nazarene (Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno) is doubly significant to devotees.

For January 9, 2015 falls on a Friday. Friday is the regular day of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. To many of those who do mental prayer every day, Friday is devoted to meditating on and praying intensely to the Jesus, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity in His many manifestations, including that as the Black Nazarene.
