PAGASA forecasts LPA to intensify into TD 'Queenie'

The low pressure area (LPA) in east of Mindanao is expected to intensify into tropical depression Wednesday, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In an interview, PAGASA weather forecaster Manny Mendoza said once the LPA intensifies into tropical depression it will be locally named 'Queenie', the 16th tropical cyclone to enter the country this year.
