DAVAO CITY: The military on Wednesday said it will help Indigenous People (IP) communities in Mindanao to stop them from supporting the New People’s Army (NPA).
Newly-installed Eastern Min-danao Command chief Maj. Gen. Aurelio Baladad noted that three in every four members of the NPA are Indigenous People. He said this is a proof of the vulnerability of the IP communities in the regions under his command to be lured into joining or supporting the communist armed movement.
