PH highest in smartphone uptake in Southeast Asia

A latest study from GfK showed that the Philippines recorded a 146-percent increase in smartphone take-up, the highest growth in the Southeast Asia region during the period of April 2012 to March 2013.

The GfK showed that Southeast Asian consumers, including the Filipinos, have propelled the region’s overall smartphone market to expand by 14 percent in value and 8 percent in units.
