The country’s unemployment rate rose this year because students, fresh graduates, and even middle-aged job hopefuls lack five work competencies, according to a study conducted by the IT-Business Processing Association of the Philippines (IBPAP).

IBPAP, formerly BPAP, is an outsourcing organization that takes care of the business processing management (BPM) in the country—mostly in voice business sectors such as call centers and customer care services. It is also assisting investors in locating to the Philippines.
