AS predicted, Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story nearly swept all available awards during the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal, which was held at the Resorts World Manila Performing Arts Theaters in Pasay City (Metro Manila) on Wednesday night.
Asiong Salonga went home with 11 trophies: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor for John Regala, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Production Design, Best Musical Score, Best Original Theme Song, Best Sound Recording, and the Gatpuno Villegas Cultural Award.
