Newly-appointed Customs Commissioner Rufino Biazon vowed to intensify the government’s crackdown on sacred cows and other irregularities in the Bureau of Customs (BOC) in line with President Benigno Aquino 3rd ‘s marching orders.
“The President simply said ‘to implement the law within your mandate and within your chain of command.’ Wala tayong sasantuhin. Iyon ang utos niya sa akin [There are no sacred cows. That is the order given to me],” Biazon said during a press briefing at Ma-laca¬ñang on Friday.
