Malacanang on Friday assured that it would implement the dismissal order issued by the Office of the Ombudsman against Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) chairman Prospero Pichay Jr. “We will comply with the directive of the Ombudsman,” Deputy Spokesperson Abigail Valte said during a Palace briefing, referring to the Ombudsman’s order to dismiss Pichay from service for the alleged misappropriation of P480 million in public funds. Valte said that the Office of the President has already received the dismissal order from the Ombudsman. “The order has been formally transmitted to the Office of the President. So the ball is now with us,” she said.
