EXPORTERS want a share of government’s collections from erring importers and a grant from the central bank to help improve their operations.

Sergio Ortiz-Luis Jr., Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc. president, told reporters they plan to ask the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) to extend a grant for their capacity-building programs and promotion activities, although they “have to see first if [the BSP’s] charter will allow it.”
