IN LINE with initiatives to revive the garments and textile sector, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said it would create a database of legitimate garments manufacturers to consolidate industry information.
Thelma Dumpit-Murillo, Garments and Textile Industry Development Office executive director, said that the plan seeks to address the lack of a centralized database of complete, accurate and up-to-date information on the sector needed for formulating and implementing industry programs.
