San Miguel purchases stake in Eastern Telecom

THE telecom unit of San Miguel Corp. (SMC) has acquired a significant stake in the telecommunications company owned by the Ongpin group.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), SMC said ISM Communications Corp. sold 100 percent of the issued and outstanding capital of AGN Philippines Inc. to Vega Telecom Inc.
