The Villaraza Cruz Marcelo and Angangco law office, more popularly known as “The Firm,” on Tuesday welcomed a libel suit filed against five of its senior partners by former Solicitor General Francisco Chavez.

“From out of nowhere, Mr. Chavez started an unprovoked and baseless attack against our law firm,” the law office’s spokesman and lawyer Miguel Silos said in a statement.
