A governor from Mindanao asked Justice Secretary Raul M. Gonzalez to order the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to conduct an investigation of the foiled ambush-slay against him and his provincial administrator.
Gov. Aleem Bashier “Mos-taqbal” Manalao of Lanao del Sur through his Provincial Administrator Macalangcom Caris, pleaded to Gonzalez to order his men to make the necessary action due to the inaction of the PNP in their province.
