DAVAO CITY: Rep. Joel Mayo Almario of Davao Orien­tal strongly urged the House of Representatives and the country’s city mayors to support his proposal seeking the conversion into cities of financially-capable capital towns of provinces without cities.

Almario said his proposal would hasten economic development of these areas and assure better delivery of services to their constituents.
