Lapid confirms he will vie for Makati mayor vs. Binay

SEN. Lito Lapid on Monday confirmed he will challenge Mayor Jejomar Binay of Makati City in the 2007 elections, the ABS-CBN news website reported.

Reportedly prodded by the lawyer Mike Arroyo, the President’s husband, Lapid said no one influenced him to contest Binay’s leadership.
