The 10 commandments for good manners

I DID a lecture over the weekend to a group of children and teenagers on visual poise, proper grooming, social graces and etiquette. I must admit that working with kids just gives me so much fulfillment and the encouragement to do the best that I can when teaching, partly because I see so much yearning, interest and eagerness from them to learn.

But what really struck me was the attitude of this middle-aged lady who owned the company that sponsored the workshop. When I met and got to talk to her, I found out how generous and magnanimous she is with people, especially the underprivileged. Some of the children in the workshop were street kids that she took under her wing. At present, she sends 39 street children to school. No wonder she is financially blessed; because she is committed to giving back to her community, I salute her for her kind and generous heart. She is truly a role model.
