THE five party-list representatives facing rebellion charges can leave the House without fear of being arrested by police, Justice Secretary Raul M. Gonzalez said Sunday.
“The security cluster has decided to allow the ‘Batasan 5’ to leave [on Monday] if they want to leave,” Gonzalez told DZMM radio. The Batasan 5—Satur Ocampo, Teodoro Casiño, Joel Virador of Bayan Muna, Liza Maza of Gabriela and Rafael Mariano of Anakpawis—vowed to leave the Batasan Pambansa premises in Quezon City on Monday despite threats of arrest from the police.
