After more than two months away in cold and snowy Germany with my darling husband Dr. George Sarakinis, I was thrilled to come home to Manila’s hot sun and the warm welcome of friends who I have missed so much. But what an exciting first-time experience it was to have White Christmas in Europe! While there, friends from Manila came to visit us. Dapper BMW-Philippines President Dr. Joerg Breuer, who was one of our ninongs joined us for dinner, driving from Munich with his lovely fiancée Gina Vargiu. My mother-in-law prepared a five-course gourmet dinner, which we all enjoyed.

We were also visited by Kit Schroeder of Brumm’s Wines in Manila, who happened to be visiting her sister-in-law, Rosemarie Stahl in Russelheim, just a few blocks away from us. What a small world! She was even able to watch a bar gig where the Hard Beat’s were playing, my husband being its lead singer.
