After surviving the tremendous challenges in both the political, social and economic milieu this year, we are anxious to hear any signs of optimism for the coming new year. It is encouraging to learn that Trade and Industry Secretary Peter B. Favila is optimistic that the economy will perform better next year, most especially because the government is intending to pump prime the economy using some funds it had saved this year. The government is planning to pump prime and spend vigorously in the areas of agriculture, health, infrastructure and defense. The government’s forecast of a higher growth next year is very inspiring for entrepreneurs.
