The government will appeal the Supreme Court ruling ordering it to pay P3 billion to the Philippine International Air Terminals Co. (Piatco) as compensation for building the Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 3.

The decision to appeal was reached at a meeting held Thursday, attended by General Manager Alfonso Cusi of the Manila International Airport Authority, Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita and Solicitor General Alfredo Benipayo.
