WE start again our liturgical calendar with the first Sunday of Advent. In the three-year cycle of our Sunday Lectionary, we are now in Year B and the gospel according to Saint Mark is our principal source. Advent brings our focus on the coming of the Lord; it is a season of faith. For this, we live in expectation and patient waiting (Mark 13:33-37).
