FILIPINO AMERICAN Riza Angela Zalameda defeated Czarina Mae Arevalo, 6-4, 7-5, on Saturday to advance to the finals against first-leg champion Wing-Yau Venise Chan in the $10,000 Holcim International Tennis Federation Philippine Women’s Circuit 2 at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.

Chan, ranked No. 46 in the ITF World Juniors, won after Briton Natasha Khan retired in the second set due to a strained muscle, behind 6-0, 3-1.
