AFTER almost a month of tedious preparations, the quest for the Miss Earth 2005 title ended in a grand spectacle on October 23 at the University of the Philippines Theater in Diliman, Quezon City. It was the pageant’s seasoned master of ceremonies, Ariel Oreta, who summed up the electrifying dynamism of the event: “In my 35 years or so of hosting beauty pageants, tonight’s coronation has the loudest and liveliest audience I have ever seen!”
