Program to prevent hearing loss pushed

Baguio City — About 10 percent to 25 percent of the city's population suffer different degrees of hearing loss, according to a specialist of the Notre Dame de Chartres Diagnostic Center here.

Dr. Edwin Cosalan, an ear, nose and throat diseases specialist and surgeon, said even guest relations officers suffer from mild hearing loss because of the noise inside discos and nightclubs. Cosalan is an advocate of industrial medicine.
