THE United Nations Development Program (UNDP) plans to bring into the mainstream the knowledge system of indigenous peoples to benefit the local government units (LGUs) in the Asia-Pacific region.
This development came after the UNDP said that globalization and rapid development of information technology over the past two decades had marginalized the knowledge system of millions of indigenous people in the entire region.
