AFTER the nationwide protests of labor groups on Wednesday, it's the turn of farmers to hold a series of mass actions starting Monday to press the government to act on their various concerns.
Some 2,000 farmers in Batangas, Laguna, Cavite and Quezon will hold rallies in key areas in Southern Tagalog on October 18, said Anacleto Mercado, secretary-general of the Liga at Unyon ng mga Manggagawang Bukid at Maralita sa Kanayunan ng Timog Katagalugan.
