THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) plans to raise fees and charges by an average of 170 percent within this year. That would mean charges for a nonprofessional license could go up to P600 from P180 and for a professional license to P450 from P240.
The plan to add about P535 million to LTO's annual collection by raising the fees is outlined in a department order to be released before the year-end, Assistant Secretary Anneli Lontoc said.
