'On the eve of my 40th birthday, I sat in front of my bathroom mirror trying to pluck the stray grays from my newly tinted hair. Not satisfied with that, I began scanning my face for lines and crow's feet. It was as if I was deliberately trying to find the wrinkle that would officially cross me over to middle age.'
