AS the smoke of battle cleared, the De La Salle University Green Archers stood victorious and claimed the 67th UAAP Men's Basketball title Thursday night. Using their proverbial arrows with precision, the Archers won Game 3 of their championship series against the defending champion Far Eastern University Tamaraws in a match that will surely go down as one of the most hotly contested and heart-wrenching Finals games in history.
DLSU's 68-65 win over FEU was a fitting end to a seemingly miraculous season characterized by disappointing losses and rumors of team dissension early on, and an incredible turnaround punctuated by a nine-game winning streak that only ended when FEU took Game 2.
