KANDAHAR, Afghanistan: Suspected Taliban guerrillas attacked a remote checkpoint in southeastern Afghanistan, killing seven Afghan soldiers after forcing them to lay down their weapons, an Afghan official said.
At least 40 gunmen surrounded the checkpoint in Shin Kay district of Kabul province late Wednesday evening, Gov. Khan Mohammed told The Associated Press.
