The country remains under threat of bird flu no matter how strict the precautions the government takes, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources said on Thursday.
Lorenzo Agaloos, assistant director of the DENR-Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau, explained that migratory birds could bring the virus into Philippine territory without the authorities realizing it.
