Anakpawis party-list Rep. Crispin Beltran on Friday sought a congressional inquiry into why LandBank President Margarito Teves approved the "anomalous" transfer of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) funds from the government-owned LandBank to the privately owned Union Bank.

Beltran wants Teves to explain why he approved the transfer of funds to Union Bank, which ranked 16th in total assets, compared with LandBank, which ranked third.
