JAPANESE trade officials have refused to budge on the matter of allowing Philippine farm goods to enter Japan at reduced tariffs, according to the Filipino negotiators.

Negotiations about the list of goods and services that would form part of the planned Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement have begun in Manila this week. But trade officials dubbed the talks as an informal meet between the two countries' trade panels.
