SIXTEEN bricks of suspected cocaine worth P100 million were recovered by a fisherman in Surigao del Sur on Tuesday night, police said.Jolan Pucot said the illegal drug was washed along the shore of Barangay Handamayan in Linging at about 9:30 p.m.He turned over the bricks of suspected cocaine at the Linging Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.Police Col. Bernard Banac, PNP spokesman, lauded the fisherman and encouraged the public to do the same.Residents living near seashores in the eastern part of the Philippines have been recovering cocaine bricks since February.Police are still investigating the possible source of these floating cocaine bricks.President Rodrigo Duterte previously said the retrieved cocaine blocks could possibly be from Colombian drug cartels.
