THE VISIT of three aircraft carriers in the South China Sea from the US shows that “it cares” about the developments in the disputed waters and in the entire Southeast Asian Region, its envoy said on Tuesday night.
“I will note that just this year we’ve had these three visits by US carriers and I think that sends an important signal that we care about developments in this region, we care about developments in South China Sea, and so that will not change either,” Ambassador to Manila Sung Kim said in an interview on the eve of US Independence Day in Makati City.
