VICE PRESIDENT Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo renewed her call for the passage of the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) at the end of Ramadan, saying that its passage is a fitting recognition to the Muslims’ selflessness.
“We hope that the Bangsamoro Basic Law will soon be passed in a form that adequately reflects the hopes and dreams of our dear Bangsamoro brothers and sisters, to end their long-drawn suffering and fulfill their desire for lasting peace,” Robredo said in a statement for the Eid’l Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, considered the holiest month in Islamic culture, according to research.
