TWENTY-five Qatar-based overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) languishing in prison for various offenses were granted royal pardon by the Emir of Qatar during the month-long observance of Ramadan.
Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello 3rd said most of the pardoned workers have been in prison for issuing checks that bounced. Some have drugs and adultery cases.
