A RANKING leader of the New People’s Army (NPA) was arrested on Thursday by joint police and army troops during an operation in a remote village in Bunawan town in Agusan del Sur, police reports said on Friday. Reports reaching the PNP national operation center in Camp Crame identified the suspect as Randy Dapidran Subla, 30 and resident of Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. Subla, based on an intelligence report was a platoon leader of the NPA’s Guerilla Front 14, was arrested by joint elements of the Regional Intelligence Unit, Agusan del Sur Provincial Police and of the army’s 75th Infantry Battalion based on a warrant of arrest arson charges.
