THE Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) will investigate Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello 3rd over alleged unliquidated funds amounting to P3.48 billion as key Labor officials assured the anti-graft body of their cooperation when the inquiry opens on August 24.

“Under CoA [Commission on Audit] regulations, the reporting [on the use of the funds] should be monthly. According to CoA, there is no reporting tha happened, zero, so they are calling for DOLE to answer why there is no report. This makes the fund questionable, that is P3.48-billion, that is big amount,” PACC Commissioner Manuelito Luna told The Manila Times in a phone call on Sunday.
