The report that two House committees investigating the Dengvaxia controversy have cleared former president Benigno Aquino 3rd of liability in the vaccination case is likely to cause much disappointment and anger among the public.

The report gives the impression that the former president is already off the hook and cleared of all accountability for the lethal effects of Dengvaxia on so many schoolchildren who had improperly received the injections. That is in spite of the publicized fact that it was Aquino’s signature and approval that facilitated the costly purchase and use of the vaccine by our health authorities.
