SUPERFRIENDS stamped its class over Manila All-Japan, 4-0, on Sunday
to boost its semifinal bid in the Puma UFL at the Nomads Field in
Merville, Parañaque.
Raymond Juarez had two goals while Reyland
Bautista and Ariel Zerruga scored one each as the Superfriends
notched their fourth win in five outings to stay at second behind
Loyola (5-0).
Pasagard also won its match against Alabang
Grins FC, 3-1, to improve its win-loss record to 3-1 for third
place.
Jovanie Simpron scored in the third and 40th
minute while Errol Labra had one in the 35th minute. Alabang’s
lone goal came from Arturo Enriquez in the 81st minute.
In the other game, Ross Calixterio, Alvin Ocampo
and Ayi Aryee powered Union FC to a 6-1 victory over Mama Africa. It
was the third win in seven outings for Union FC while the African
nationals absorbed their third loss against one win.
The league is a fitting prelude to the upcoming
European Championships where Puma is the sponsor of five national
teams including world champion Italy, Czech Republic, Poland and
hosts Austria and Switzerland.
