Volvo offers discount on four models
Volvo slashes 14 percent off on
the price tags of the S40, V50, S60 and XC70 until February 14. Free
two-year warranty, free one year comprehensive insurance and free
three-year LTO registration as well as free 24-hour roadside
assistance also come with the promo.
The S40 is a spacious and
comfortable sedan that’s engineered to perform with its 2.4-liter,
five-cylinder engine that makes 170 horsepower. Its low internal
friction engine has electronic management, variable valve timing,
and common-rail direct injection delivers lively performance and
modest fuel consumption.
Meanwhile, the V50 has a
170-horsepower, 2.4-liter, five-cylinder engine that’s mated to a
five-speed Geartronic adaptive transmission. The S60 has a
2.0-liter, five-cylinder, 180-horsepower engine that supplies the
passion while its multilink chassis provides the backbone.
For its part, the XC70 Cross
Country All-Wheel Drive is for those seeking adventure anytime,
anywhere. It has 210-horsepower engine that’s bolted to a
five-speed Geartronic adaptive transmission.
Red rock travel sets f1

Red Rock Travel, the
country’s F1 tour authority, promotes its F1 Grand Prix Tour in
Sepang, Malaysia, through Life in the Fast Lane, which replicates
the experience visitors can look forward to at the Sepang Circuit in
the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix on March 23.
In the event, visitors can learn
the basics of F1 and mingle with racing personalities and
aficionados. They also get a chance to win a free trip to Malaysia
complements of the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board and Malaysia
Air.
Presented by the Sepang
International Circuit, Life in the Fast Lane will be hosted by

Victory Liner launches onboard
magazine
Victory Liner, one of the largest
and the pioneer bus companies in the Philippines, has launched
SideTrip, its official onboard publication, as part of offering the
riding public a complete travel experience.
A first of its kind in the
industry, the bimonthly magazine features tourist attractions in
destinations serviced by the bus company.
SideTrip includes useful visitor
information, dining and entertainment centers, activities, hotels
and lineup of events worth seeing. It also contains travel safety
tips, a map, and is packed with promos and special prizes.
The magazine’s maiden
issue features Baguio City, dubbed as the “Summer Capital of the

San Miguel joins motolite eco program
San Miguel Packaging Specialists
Inc. (SMPSI) and Oriental and Motolite Marketing Corp. (OMMC) on
January 8 signed an agreement in which SMPSI will participate in
OMMC’s Balik-Baterya.
At the signing ceremony, SMPSI
also turned over 2,940 kilograms of used lead acid batteries for
proper disposal and recycling by Motolite. The funds obtained from
SMPSI’s participation in the program will be used in its various
corporate social responsibility projects.
As the industry leader in
automotive batteries, Motolite has been at the forefront of
community-based environmental and health campaigns through its
Balik-Baterya initiative which encourages the public to return used
lead acid batteries (ULABs) for safe disposal and proper recycling.
By collecting the ULABs for recycling and use in the production of
new batteries, Motolite contributes to the effort to clear the
environment of hazardous wastes.
The Balik-Baterya Program accepts
all types and brands of ULABs—car, truck, motorcycle, boat,
forklift, uninterruptible power supply.
