MANKAYAN, Benguet: Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company (LCMC) had zero-nonconformity during the ISO 14001:2004 certification audit conducted by TUV Rheinland, Philippines Inc. in March 2016. TUV Rheinland audit team confirmed that LCMC’s Environmental Management System (EMS) complies with and adequately maintains and implements the requirements of the standard. Thus, the ISO 14001:2004 + Cor. 1:2009 certificate was issued on May 12, 2016 to LCMC covering its Corporate Office in Makati City; Lepanto Warehouse in Malolos, Bulacan; and Lepanto Mine Division in Mankayan, Benguet. The zero-nonconformity finding affirms the company’s commitment to become a socially responsible mining company through environmental stewardship.
