BIG labor has pushed for an P800 across-the-board daily minimum wage for all workers nationwide even as it called on all 17 Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPBs) across the country to come up with a realistic increase in the minimum pay that will allow workers to cope with rising inflation.

The Association of Labor Unions-Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (ALU-TUCP) on Sunday reminded the wage boards that the minimum wage at present is no longer realistic, citing studies that a family of five needs at least P1,200 a day to survive.
