TABUK, Kalinga: The Cordillera People’s Liberation Army (CPLA) is set to investigate illegal activities of ousted chair, Mailed Molina, as it affirms leadership of Arsenio Humiding in a command conference held here over the week.
The CPLA High Command Conference was conducted on November 18 to 19 in Tabuk, Kalinga, and was attended by majority of the zone commanders and staff of the different companies of the CPLA in the region.
During the conference, CPLA interim Chair Arsenio Humiding issued a special order creating a task force to investigate and gather information on the alleged involvement of CPLA on the Dontogan, Dreamland and Piripin Bato squatting and demolition activities.
The Order mentioned the formation of a task force that will specifically conduct a special investigation on Molina’s involvement on other “activities” by representing the CPLA as an organization without the collective approval of the group.
The Task Force shall submit a written report including affidavits to Humiding as basis for filing cases against Molina.
Miguel Assud was appointed to head the task force and will be working closely with Tirso Iwangga, Oplan Dalus team leader.
Iwangga said that they have already identified the people being used by Molina for his “illegal” activities in the Baguio City and Benguet.
“The team works in partnership with the police authorities,” he added.
Humiding and Iwangga, appeared before the City Council on November 9 where they received appreciation from the councilors on their intention to clear the name of the CPLA of illegal activities in the city.
According to them, any activities entered into by Molina are not sanctioned by the organization.
