Comelec holds automated polls training in Bataan

BALANGA City, Bataan: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) conducts a two-day training session on the concept of the automated election and the proper operation of the Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machines for teacher-members of the Board of Election Inspectors (BEI).

THE Supreme Court on Tuesday failed to resolve in its regular en banc session the controversy over the Bulacan gubernatorial race between incumbent Gov. Joselito “Jonjon” Mendoza and former Gov. Roberto “Obet” Pagdanganan, who both claimed as the rightful winner in the 2007 election.

As the Philippines continue to suffer from the effects of power crisis and the El Niño phenomenon, the Japanese government provided Manila some solace by committing 26. 3 billion yen, or around P13.5-billion worth of Official Development Assistance (ODA) in the areas of policy reform, climate change and health service.
