THE Porsche Training and Recruitment Center Asia (PTRCA) announced that a sixth batch of students has completed its automotive course.
Comprised of 16 underprivileged scholars who underwent theoretical and practical training at Don Bosco Manpower and Skills Training, the students further took specialized courses at PGA Cars’ facility, as well as language tutorials to prepare them for their foreign destination.
The PTRCA is the first such program held outside of Germany, and is conducted in partnership with Porsche AG and the Don Bosco Technical Institute. The program assures job placements in various countries where Porsche is sold.
The graduates, now called Porsche Mechatronics, completed 19 months of intensive instruction and hands-on training experience before qualifying for their certifications—which were handed over by PGA Cars Chairman Robert Coyiuto Jr. and Porsche Phils. Managing Director Roberto Coyiuto 3rd at a commencement exercise held on December 15 at the Porsche Center Phils. As certified Porsche Mechatronics, the graduates are now eligible to work at various Porsche centers worldwide. The PTRCA started in 2008, and is seen as a training program that ensures the competitiveness of Filipinos in the global market.
