Cebu Pacific to start Kalibo-HK flight

THE airline unit of JG Summit Holdings Inc. said it would commence direct Kalibo to Hong Kong flights on March 23.

In a statement, Cebu Pacific said that the thrice weekly Kalibo to Hong Kong service is the airline’s first direct international route from Kalibo International Airport, gateway to the world-renowned Boracay Island.

Cebu Pacific said the P8 seat sale is from January 9 to 12 or until seats last. The travel period is from March 23 to June 30, 2012.

“CEB continues to contribute to Philippine tourism by providing Hong Kong nationals and foreign tourists direct flights to Boracay. Similarly, it provides residents from Western Visayas the fastest way to Hong Kong, CEB’s most popular international destination,” Candice Iyog, CEB vice president for Marketing and Distribution said.

The airline also holds an all-international seat sale for travel from February 1 to April 30. This includes P888 seats from Manila to Brunei, Kota Kinabalu or Xiamen; from Clark to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Macau, or Singapore; or, from Cebu to Hong Kong.

“Direct flights from strategically placed hubs in the Philippines bring our passengers to their destinations faster. CEB remains consistent in offering the fastest and most convenient flight options to guests, especially with its expansion in Asia,” Iyog said.

The airline is slated to begin direct flights from Manila to Hanoi on March 17 and from Manila to Xiamen on March 23.

To further boost its tourism agenda, guests on international flights can also avail of a select domestic seat sale as low as P400. This is for travel from February 1 to March 31.
