PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday signed into law Republic Act 11036, or the Mental Health Law.
Under the law, mental health services and facilities will be made accessible at the community level. Psychiatric, psychosocial and neurologic services in regional, provincial and tertiary hospitals, as well as drug screening services and suicide prevention mechanisms, will also be provided.
