MANILA, Philippines: Japan said worrisome incidents in the South China Sea (SCS) is a "legitimate concern" of the international community as 21 countries supported the Philippines in calling out China's aggressive actions in the region.

The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Monday said Tokyo "believes that the issue concerning the South China Sea is directly related to the peace and stability of the region and is a legitimate concern of the international community."
